This clique of clueless, coup-plotting Council rookies voted to begin the process of ousting the former Mayor on April 13th of this year. They’ve provided zero reason for doing so, then or since, as the Charter very clearly requires.
In a move more often employed by military juntas in South America than local legislative bodies in these United States, six Council members voted to REMOVE FIRST & ASK QUESTIONS NEVER.

NO ALLEGED REASON for their sneak attack in the first place;
THEY MET ILLEGALLY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, spending over 20 hours this year in unlawful secrecy, violating Ohio’s Open Meetings Act with reckless abandon
THEY BLEW $93,000 TAX DOLLARS ON A SMEAR CAMPAIGN to prosecute a “case” with no charges of wrongdoing whatsoever.
COUNCIL OFFERED FORMER MAYOR JUDGE A CASH PAYOUT TO RESIGN .
They can’t beat him at the polls - - so they had their law dogs beg him to hand over his rights instead.
MAYOR Judge DECLINED COUNCIL’S TELLING HUSH MONEY OFFER.
Although he kept his options open and his integrity intact, the Mayor could still clearly see that Council had made up their minds and his removal was a certainty.
SO, AS A MATTER OF STRATEGY & PRINCIPLE, MAYOR WILLIAM B. JUDGE RESIGNED ON HIS OWN VOLITION JUNE 15TH.
Despite blowing six figures of public money and spending months looking for dirt under the Mayor’s fingernails, the conspirators came up with nothing.
So weak was their case, they even tried to bribe the Mayor into giving up his rights.
